in the hong kong airport terminal, i switched on my cellphone while i waited in line to be allowed to pass through the country.
SEARCHING, said the screen. it searched for a few minutes. the meter showing the network signal strength filled and emptied, and the phone kept searching.
and then it found a network: NEW WORLD.
